Last Frontiers by Secret Indochina specializes in the discovery of an unexpected Vietnam. Traditionally, Last Frontiers cooperates with European and North American travel companies such as Terres d’Aventure or Zegrahm Expeditions and focusses in the segment of adventure, cultural, immersive and sophisticated travels. It operates journeys from the remote and little-known regions of Vietnam to the Last Frontiers. As a countermeasure to the recent difficulties of tourism industry, its founders have decided to open-up part of its expertise and knowledge to local expatriates in seek of inner voyage, literally and figuratively speaking
There is two Vietnam, the classic and the parallel. The latter, often linked to our collective imagination, is made up of indigenous groups, mysterious forests, lonely mountains, misty rivers, large ocean dunes and coastline massifs. Secret Indochina has been specializing in the study of these entities for nearly thirty years and is tirelessly passionate about research and exploration, for archives and maps, for peoples and their ancient knowledge
The aim is to bring expatriates and their families to the unspoiled corners of Vietnam, sometimes to lost paradises, in order to live a human adventure. Various modules are proposed around three regions:
The North-East
The Red River Delta
The South-Central Highlands
North-East Vietnam

Travel across reserved landscapes of limestone peaks, waterfalls, nature reserves and encounter little-known ethnic groups who are almost entirely self-sufficient in the heart of glistening valleys and mountaintops… Learn about their ancestral handicrafts and immerse in a way of life has remained unchanged for centuries

Discover the region’s ancient civilizations and tremendous biodiversity, its nature, its forests and its people via the Tai Lai Longhouse (Cat Tien National Park), the Lak-Lak, the Ivory Falls Villa in Djiring and the maritime massifs and ergs of the ancient Cham kingdom of Panduranga, wedged between jungle and ocean

The Founders
Last Frontiers by Secret Indochina was established following the encounter of Tran Quang Hieu and Nicolas Vidal, two professionals passionate about authentic and impactful travel. Hieu belongs to the first generation born after the Vietnam War (1975). The hardship and difficulty that this generation went through during the post-war period inspired them the idea to open Vietnam to the world. As for Nicolas, in the early ‘90s, he’s a prospector, guide and consultant for travel agencies. In a country at this time closed-off, he achieves numerous reconnaissance missions, explorations and projects in forsaken areas
Sustainable tourism
Aware of the growing concern for sustainable development in the eyes of travelers, we are vigorously committed towards being a responsible travel company resulting in the development of a tourism-related micro-economy and several sustainable projects for disadvantaged communities
